Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns is a DLC pack developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive on February 28th, 2019.
It's time for naval combat to take center stage in this new expansion for the critically acclaimed strategy wargame as players witness the cunning convoy attacks that happened in the Battle of the Atlantic, the brutal carrier battles which raged on the Pacific front, and so on. World War II brought a lot of new options into play when it comes to naval combat, as many new tactics and technologies were invented in order to utterly crush the opposing side.
Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns revolves around the player's ability to design their own ships and even refit older models to be more effective. You need to avoid certain areas of the sea by altering the routes of your convoy so that they don't fall prey to fast wolf packs. Accept certain naval treaties or find your way around them and then deal with the diplomatic backlash.
This expansion also introduces all-new alternate history paths for powerful democracies of the war, so that nations that prefer peace have more time on their hands before war descends upon them.
