Anno 1800 - Steam Edition brings us back to the world of Anno, and this time we get to be the pioneers of the Industrial Revolution. The game has been developed by Blue Byte and it is being published by Ubisoft on April 16th, 2019.

The dawn of the Industrial Age has come, and it is time to utilize your micromanaging skills once more in a complex strategy game that lets you be an exploiter, a liberator, an innovator, a conqueror, and more. Shape up your image and define how the entire world is going to remember your name and the empire that you build. In this day and age, technology is rapidly advancing more and more, but the political grip of the 19th century is strong. Everyone wants to have a massive empire that will span across Europe all throughout South America. Innovative strategy gameplay is back, and Anno 1800 takes the franchise into a new direction and gives you the option of leaving a very big mark on the world in this important moment in mankind's history.

Conquer your enemies through warfare or through diplomacy. Become an economic powerhouse with the use of trading and discovering a new continent. Take advantage of all the new technological innovations, unravel conspiracies, and constantly monitor allegiances that are always shifting and changing. This era showcases just how perfect it is for an Anno game as it lets you build humongous metropolises, create your very own logistic networks, and even send your own expeditions to sail around the world.

The popular Anno experience is back, so expect a detailed city-builder game that has an intriguing story-based campaign, a sandbox mode that gives you everything needed for a complete and everlasting experience, and a multiplayer mode for those of you that want to test their skills against other players. Anno 1800 introduces a new workforce feature, trade goods that can be shipped, maps that are randomly generated, individual and cunning AI opponents, multi-session gameplay, and more!

Ubisoft's acclaimed Industrial-Revolution-era city-builder Anno 1800 is rolling up its greensleeves and getting ready to turn over a new leaf, thanks to its horticulturally themed second paid DLC, Botanica, which arrives today on PC. Botanica, as its name heavily suggest, adds a new cultural building project to the world of Anno, this time in the form of the botanical garden, drawing tourists and increasing your city's attractiveness. Rather than being a simple one-and-done buildings to slap dow...

Ubisoft have launched a week-long demo for Anno 1800, the latest in their city ‘n’ empire-building game. You’ve got until Monday to play a Victorian coloniser, wearing silly hats and ruthlessly exploiting resources and people for capital gain. And in the game. It is weird for a demo to be limited in both quantity and time, given how many week-long full-game trials we see these days, but Anno 1800 is a worth a look. (more…)

“Rumors spread among your crew about a hermit living on an isle of wonders, a shabby-looking scavenger and inventor who prefers the company of his own automatons,” Ubisoft say to introduce the new Anno 1800 mini-expansion. “But don’t let the cock-and-bull stories of your crew fool you; Old Nate may just be a genius a genius who is willing to share his ground-breaking inventions with all comers, so long as the price is right…” And yeah yeah the DLC sounds nea...
