Destiny 2 is the sequel to Destiny. The sequel is also a multiplayer first-person shooter that was developed by Bungie and then published by Activision. The game was first released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 6th, 2017, and the following month it was also released for Microsoft Windows.

Destiny 2 is set in a mythic science fiction world with beautiful sci-fi environments and multiplayer "shared-world" that contains various RPG elements like live events. Players are so-called Guardians, the protectors of the last safe city on Earth. They can use a special power called the Light which they use to protect the Last City from various alien races. But, once a warlord named Dominus Ghaul, the leader of the Cabal race, strips the Guardians of their Light, he manages to invade and conquer theLast City.

Players then embark on an epic journey to rediscover their Light and look for a way to take on Ghaul and take back their city.

As was the case in the first game, the activities in Destiny 2 are either PvE-based or PvP-based. There are various normal story missions in the game, but you also have three-player "Strikes" and six-player raids for more intense PvE experiences. Destiny 2 also has various public events and activities that were not present in Destiny.

As far as the PvP goes, there are various objective-based modes that you can play, as well as your typical deathmatch game modes. Unlike the previous game, the game's PvP modes all feature 4v4 matches.

This week at Bungie, we returned to Presage. Before we go about our weekly TWAB programming, we have some required reading! State of Destiny 2021 – The Road to The Witch Queen We aren’t going to provide a TL;DR, as we want you to go read this thing,...

This week at Bungie, we intercepted a distress signal. Strange things are afoot. Guardians have discovered a distress signal and Commander Zavala has ordered that the source be investigated. Last week, with no fanfare, Bungie opened a door in The Arms Dealer strike. Likely many of the players who loaded in to complete the week's Nightfall: The Ordeal didn't even notice—passing through the first corridor as normal. Those that did, though, got to run a gauntlet of Cabal turrets, and eventually found a mysterious distress signal leading to a new mission off The Tangled Shore, on a seemingly abandoned Cabal ship... Bungie has said it won't flesh out Destiny 2's Cosmodrome location to its original size from Destiny 1 after all. Previously, the Destiny maker had said the franchise's original area - which returned in Destiny 2: Beyond Light last autumn at about a half of its base size - would grow over time. There was no suggestion it would ever get its Destiny 1 Year 3 Rise of Iron expansion set in the connecting Plaguelands zone, but Bungie did say it would build out Destiny 2's stripped back Cosmodrome are...

This week at Bungie, Season of the Chosen began. Season of the Chosen kicked off with a bang of sorts. Caiatl, Empress of the Cabal, has entered the fray. Zavala stood his ground when being offered a seat on her war council. Ever since, we’ve been watching countless Guardians doing their best in the new Battlegrounds activity to keep the Cabal from uniting into an unstoppable threat to the system. New Seasonal Challenges have made their appearance, the H.E.L.M. has opened its doors, and a fresh ...
