Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is an expansion that takes the players on an epic journey to explore the East.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will tell new tales of brave adventures as the Warrior of Light makes preparations to go on a long journey beyond the borders of Aldenard. This expansion brings new lands for us to visit, as well as two new jobs, the immensely powerful red mage, and the cunning samurai.

This expansion features many new lands and environments filled with things to discover and overcome. Visit Ala Mhigo, and take on different new Primal threats on your travel across Eorzea as you continue your journey and complete various quests and tasks as the fabled Warrior of Light. Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood offers many exciting adventures, and players can now swim and dive and explore like never before. The level cap has been increased from 60 to 70 in Stormblood. Various changes and tweaks have been made to the battle system. New lands for us to discover include the Ruby Sea, Yanxia, Gyr Abania, and the Azim Steppe. Exciting new beastmen and primals like the Susano, the Kojin, and Lakshmi and the Ananta await us.

Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood introduces new dungeons to the game, as well as a new 8-man raid called Interdimensional Rift – Omega, and a new alliance raid called Return to Ivalice. Enter the Forbidden Land of Eureka and see what wonders it hides. There are new gear and crafting recipes, and the new residential district called Shirogane in Stormblood.

As an avid fan of Final Fantasy 14, I regularly log in on the evenings and weekends to play the game. But recently I noticed a trend while logging in; queues. It's not too unusual to have a short wait that almost immediately resolves, but this time, the line sat at over 300 players. It took ten minutes to simply get into the game - and all I wanted to do was mull around in the Bojzan Southern Front to grind away for an extremely shiny weapon. Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn is coming up to eigh...

Ahead of tonight's Super Strawberry Moon - the last Supermoon of 2021 - we thought it would be interesting to take a look at our moon through the specific lens of Japanese video games, focusing in on one series in particular. Art can take us to whole other universes. Often we want to stay fairly close to home, though. The moon remains the most significant space object in our collective and creative consciousness, from mythology to pop culture, and of course it looms large in video games. Whether...

Square Enix has banned over 5000 players for what it deems as "illegal activities" in Final Fantasy 14. In an update to the official website, the publisher reminded players that "real money trading (RMT) and other illicit activities upset the balance of the game and, as such, are prohibited under the Terms of Service". Having reportedly "confirmed the existence of players who are engaging in these illicit activities", Square Enix has now terminated 5037 accounts for participation in real money t...

Hello! Welcome back to a new regular feature where we write a little bit about some of the games we've found ourselves playing over the last few weeks. This time: cards, Final Fantasy, and art galleries. The disappointment of last year's The Solitaire Conspiracy drove me back into the arms of Grey Alien's Jake Birkett, undisputed master of my favourite ultra-niche genre, the solitaire campaign game. For one reason and another I had never given his most recent release, Ancient Enemy, that much ti...
