Mortal Kombat 11 is the next installment in the incredibly violent and popular fighting game franchise known as Mortal Kombat. The newest title in this extreme series of games got announced at the 2018 Game Awards by Netherrealm Studios. We can all expect to start busting some heads and crushing some spines on April 23rd, which is when the game is getting released.

If you're a fan of blood, gore, and intense action-packed combat, then the Mortal Kombat franchise is perfect for you. Punches and kicks that are heavy, special attacks that allow you to create some special combinations, and Fatalities, which are extremely brutal finishing moves that you are able to do after you defeat your opponent. All of this makes the action of these games unique in the fighting games genre. This franchise has many iconic characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Shao Kahn, and so on. Everyone that wants Mortal Kombat 11 can preorder it on consoles (that includes Nintendo Switch) and the PC on December 8th, 2018. Pre-ordering the game means you get Shao Kahn as a playable character and you also get access to the game's beta.

Mortal Kombat 11 will feature Custom Character Variations that allow the players to change all kinds of aspects of their fighters in order to tailor their own unique playstyle. A brand new graphics engine fully shows the violence of this game in all of its bloody and unmerciful glory. New and of course, returning Klassic Fighters are present in the game, and the complex story of this franchise will continue in the cinematic story mode!

A player has been disqualified from the Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Competition after criticising the game's developers, NetherRealm Studios. 'Titaniumtigerzz' was competing for a place in the loser's semi-final when he was disqualified mid-match. Titaniumtigerzz' variation of Sheeva - which allows the character's moves and name to be customised - was named 'WhyDidNRSdoThis'. Although the player insists it was a light-hearted joke, casters and viewers were visibly confused when the live feed of the fig...

A long-running secret within Mortal Kombat 11 has finally been solved. A year ago, Mortal Kombat 11 players noticed a mysterious meteor coursing across the sky within the Towers of Time mode. Players realised it turned up at 10 minutes past the hour, and suspected some sort of input was required to trigger a reward. But nobody knew the combination - until this week. Here's NetherRealm boss Ed Boon doing his Twitter tease thing earlier this week: Read more

Remember the Mortal Kombat movie? The original one, from 1995? It's a guilty pleasure of mine. I loved the silly fights and silly dialogue and ropey sets, and I loved Christopher Lambert's silly performance as Raiden, the famous Thunder God. Now, 25 years later, Lambert has reprised his role as Raiden for a Klassic MK Movie Skin pack for Mortal Kombat 11 - and it's fantastic. Here we have Lambert's likeness as well as his voice, delivering new dialogue just for the game. His character model look...

It's been a great year for Mortal Kombat 11 fans - they were finally reunited with Mileena, John Rambo joined the cast, and now NetherRealm Studios is looking to please the game's earliest fans. The Klassic MK Movie Skin Pack sees the return of Bridgette Wilson-Sampras as Sonya Blade, Christopher Lambert as Raiden, and Linden Ashby as Johnny Cage. These skins include the likenesses and voices of the three main actors, giving '90s kids everywhere a huge burst of nostalgia. This isn't the first ti...
