Horror has taken on many forms over the years. And video games have wanted nothing more than to make you experience fear in an all-new way. Now, a new title named SOMA is going to give you a scare like nothing before, all the while dealing with deep themes that you wouldn't expect from a horror title. This sci-fi horror game from Frictional Games, who created Amnesia: The Dark Descent. is something very, very special. For with themes of identity, consciousness, and what it means to be human, this is a true story driven game, all the while trying to scare you out of your wits.
The world of SOMA is one that lies deep beneath the ocean waves, where you are isolated and alone, and terror is all around you. Many bad things have happened, and you have to look around in order to find out the dark truth that lies within this place. But what is the true? Documents, terminals, and the few remaining people left on the station may be the key to finding out. But finding them will also escale the events that are happening all around you. Know this though. On this station, humans aren't the only thing running around.
For here, under the water, there be monsters, and machines, and AI that is out to get you. To survive, you have to make some tough decisions. Each one needs to be dealt with in a different way. And if you can't figure it out...you'll never make it out.
