  • Supraland

Supraland is an FPS puzzle and Metroidvania game that has been developed and published by Supra Games on April 5th, 2019.

Imagine a game that combines elements of titles like Zelda, Metroid, and Portal, and then add all kinds of puzzles to it, spectacular abilities, crazy monsters, and you get Supraland. There are no restrictions or limitations in this game, you can play whoever you want to as the story is minimal and there's only one overarching goal that you need to achieve, after which you're free to do as you please.

Supraland has a huge interconnected world with many unpassable ways that only get accessible once certain abilities get unlocked. The design of the entire game relies on the fact that abilities are incredibly useful and versatile, so always experiment and find new uses for them. Then add the fact that these abilities can be combined, which gives you even more possibilities. That is very important as exploration is a key part of this title. Discover all the secrets that this sandbox world has to offer as you uncover secrets that have been expertly hidden by the level designers.

Challenging and creative puzzles await that make players use their brains and abilities together in order to find unique solutions to unique obstacles. There's no need for trial and error in a game like this, players just need to think about what abilities you have and how can they be used to solve any puzzle that lies before you.

The fighting mechanics in this game draw inspiration from old-school shooters like Doom, Quake, and Unreal Tournament, so expect to do a lot of jumping, intense strafing, and precise shooting in order to take down the onslaught of charging enemies.

How does my main game progress/savegame relate to the DLC? Not at all! The DLC1 campaign is a separate thing. A separate adventure. It continues the plot, but you select it with a different menu button and it uses different new save games. Do I have to finish the main game to play the DLC? You don't have to, but you should, because the DLC brings back many mechanics and they won't be tutorialized as deeply as they were in the main game. Why is it being called DLC1? There will be another DLC2 lat...

Clickbait ftw! I just wanted to write a bit about how in the first DLC (which is basically a 2nd Supraland game) you will see what I (now we) learned since the first game and where we increased the production value. You cannot compare both games directly, because their general structure is significantly different. It is still very familiar for Supraland veterans but a lot should feel really fresh. Which I hope is kind of the perfect formula for a sequel. Enough familiarity but also enough new st...

It has been tested thoroughly over the last 4 weeks, except for some brand new things I added today. The testers were having a great time so far. Now I also know the rough length of the game. It will last between 8-15 hours, so it's even close to the main game. Most of you will probably get around 11-12h. The next steps: - A little more testing and getting rid of r...

If you backed 55€+ in the crowdfunding, you will now have an invitation for the DLC 1 beta testing in your mailbox. It goes out to the email that you used to do the paypal transfer. So if you have trouble receiving it, make sure you check the right email and eventually check the spam folder. All further instructions are in the email. Looking forward to your feedback!
