Sometimes the best of games are the ones who take inspiration from history and then twist it just enough to make something special and unique. Thus is the case with The First Templar, an action and RPG title with co-op elements that'll have you taking part in some history as you journey on your way to finding the truth. In this game you will actually have two main characters, one is a Templar, and the other is a Noble woman who had been declared a heretic. Yeah, that's not good.
However, they know something is wrong, and must work together to get to the truth not only behind what is going on, but also what is happening in the Templars themselves. They'll even go on a quest to find the Holy Grail itself! Along the way, they'll fight historical enemies like Sacracen, King Philip the IV of France and the Inquisition. So you must be ready to do battle when it comes.
Due to their being two main characters, you can either cycle between the ones you want to control at the time, or, you can have a friend drop in or drop out at any point in time. The Co-Op is truly seamless, so no matter how long you can play with your friend, it won't affect your gameplay in the grand scale.
The 13th Century is beautifully rendered here in The First Templar, and you'll be able to journey through it and go to over 20 historical locations that have a place in history. Add to that RPG elements in regards to character building, and fast-paced action, and The First Templar is something you're going to want to get.
