Train Simulator: Inselbahn: Stralsund – Sassnitz Route Add-On brings a vivid island railway to the game that explores the rocky hills of Rügen between Stralsund and Sassnitz.
Iron rails were quickly spreading through Germany in the 1860s. Especially in cases where they were built in order to cut down the journey times between Sweden and the north of the country, as was the case with the Angermünde–Stralsund railway. Then, in 1883, a railway on Rügen soil got built, and over the years it was extended to reach even the northern coast of the island at Sassnitz. Over time, the traffic grew in popularity as Sweden and Germany got linked even closer. Today, Rügen is a holiday resort that lets people enjoy the brimming summer atmosphere by going on a scenic rail!
