  • Wolfenstein: The New Order

The original Wolfenstein games were pinnacles of first-person shooters. Now, decades later, it's becing reborn via Wolfenstein®: The New Order. This game has been built to not only deliver intense first-person shooter combat, but also, deliver a deep story of a world gone horrible wrong.

For you see, in this world, the Nazi's won World War II, and beyond. They now own the world, and you have to rally a small group of resistance fighters, to fight back. You'll do so while traveling across Europe in beautiful rendered areas. You'll fight on beaches, on castles, and many more. You'll see the beauty and horror of this new world with each step you take.

Plus, this is Wolfenstein, you know there's going to be extreme weapons for you to use that shouldn't even exist...but totally do and you are happy they do. And you'll need them, for the Nazi's didn't win WWII with words, but with forces of unimaginable terror. Witness the horrors they've unleashed, and then take them down.

This isn't just about a new history, this is about changing history. Take on the Nazis before their reign of terror can get any bigger. Fight across the world, and even on the moon, yes, we said the moon, and take the fight to them as you try to finish a fight decades in the making.

New kinds of weapons, new kinds of villains, new kinds of Nazis, all are present in Wolfenstein: The New Order, will you be able to stop them?

Videogames have a long history of using World War 2 as a backdrop, but the Holocaust goes virtually untouched. It's not surprising: By and large, games designed as entertainment—often comical or at least unserious entertainment—and the mass murder of six million human beings in pursuit of a racist ideology doesn't suit that intention. To mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Center will take a look at one game that...

When the men get shot they fall over and scream and sometimes their head comes off. If you want to you can have two guns and you can shoot them both at the same time. You can stab the men in the head with a knife. You have grenades that you can throw and they blow up the men and their blood goes everywhere. It's a very good shooting game.
