9 Monkeys of Shaolin is a beat 'em up game that takes inspiration from old-school titles and throws you into the shoes of Wei Cheng, a Chinese fisherman that wants to exact vengeance on the pirates that slaughtered all his friends and family. The game is being developed by Sobaka Studio and published by Buka Entertainment.

You play as an ordinary fisherman that knows the basics of the ancient martial arts, which is enough to beat his foes into a bloody pulp. Joining you on your journey will be your trusty battle staff that's ready to bash in some skulls on your adventure through the mesmerizing land of Medieval China. A horde of vicious foes stands in your way, each more dangerous than the other, so muster up all the courage that you have and venture forth!

9 Monkeys of Shaolin features brutal action-packed battles with intuitive controls and a stunning atmosphere that invokes the feeling of the old kung-fu movies from the 70s. Use three different fighting styles (fighting on earth, in the air, or by using strange magic seals) to crush your enemies in many ways. The story of Wei Cheng is one that will captivate and inspire awe and wonder as he stops being an ordinary fisherman and evolves into a cunning master of the ancient Shaolin martial arts.

Thanks to the game's visceral combination of historical and mystical elements, every screen captivates the audience.  The character progression system lets you use many distinct perks, items, and fighting styles on your journey. For those that want to experience the game with someone, there's a co-op mode available.
