Throne of Lies is a 3D online multiplayer game where betrayal, social investigation, and mischief are combined with medieval politics in order to create an enthralling experience that up to 16 players can play. The game was developed by Imperium42® Game Studio, Dylan Hunt, "Xblade", Elsa Hunt, "FieryElsa", "Ellie", Adityaraj Rukhane, "Adiart" and published by Imperium42® Game Studio on September 29th, 2017.
Each of the players randomly gets assigned one of the 40+ classes (they range from the almighty King to the flimsy Fool), and while most of the players are going to be loyal members of the Blue Dragon faction, each game also sets up some players to be members of the sinister Cult or the strange Unseen faction, and some Neutral characters are added into the mix as well. Thanks to the game's unique Day/Nigth cycle, players gather around the table and talk about things like what they found out in their investigations. During the day, you get to accuse players of treason, and during the night you can spy on other people and even conspire against others, which might lead to a killing.
Members of the Cult and Unseen faction know who their allies are, while members of the Blue Dragon need to carefully consider who their allies are in order to stay alive and find the traitors. Throne of Lies is a game of magnificent investigations and cunning deceptions, so even the King can be a suspect. The enemy can convert other players to their side, so allegiances are always changing and are uncertain. If the Blue Dragon faction manages to deal with all the threats, they win, but if the enemy manages to get their hands on the Throne of Lies, then they win.
