A terrible war broke out between two rival yakuza clans. You play as the Dragon of Dojima, Kazuma Kiryu, and your opponent is the cunning and determined Dragon of Kansai, Ryuji Goda. Only one dragon can remain, so the question is, will it be you or your rival?

Many want to escape conflict and a troubled past, but violence finds a way to crawl back into your life. Kazuma Kiryu left the Tojo Clan days behind him, now living a calm and serene life with Haruka Sawamura, a young girl that helped him create his new life from the ashes of his previous one. But, since nothing remains as it is, once the Fifth Chairman of the Tojo Clan, Yukio Terada, gets killed by an assassin, our hero gets pulled back into his old way of living.

Sotenbori is the destination, and Kiryu needs to mend the relationship between these two rival clans, which is already damaged. But, Ryuji Goda on the other hand, will do everything it takes to spark a war between these two factions. Who will succeed, which dragon will be the victor in the end?
