Combining of gameplay genres has allowed for some truly beautiful games to be made. For when done right, it accentuates what made both special, as well as how unique they can be when combined. Now, one title seeks to blend the elements of two fan-favorite genres into one very epic game. This, is SpellForce 3. This title is meant to herald back to the origins of the franchise, and in fact takes place before one of the original games as you'll set foot into a realm of high fantasy known simply as Eo. From there, your journey will begin, and what a journey it will be.

As noted, SpellForce 3 is a perfect mix of RTS and RPG genres. Giving you the top-down perspective that those games are known for, but, giving you the freedom to help create your own character, and guide them down a path that is both grand and dangerous. You'll need your hero to be strong, for they will be the ones to help lead an army against a great and terrible threat. For SpellForce 3 has you going deep into the lore of the universe, and you'll see many things come together for a plot that is as grand as it is terrifying.
Never played the SpellForce games before? No worries, you won't have to have any previous experience to enjoy this one. That's not how the game was made. All you'll need is the ability to think tactically, and know how to win the day. For in this 30+ long campaign, you'll need some skills to get out alive.
Oh, and you can also battle your friends in the game. That can happen too.
