What do you think of when you think of darkness? Well, if you played The Darkness, you'll know that your definition is different than others. The hit video game brought a special twist to first-person shooters by imbuing its main character, Jackie Estacado, with a dark and terrifying force. His mission was simple, to take out those who killed girlfriend, and he did just that. And as a reward, he's now the head of a New York crime family. But, the revenge wasn't all that he hoped for, and he still mourns the death of his girlfriend, and he locked up The Darkness so he could stop the violence...or so he thought.
For The Darkness wants out, and when Jackie's crew is hurt during an attack by an organization known as The Brotherhood, he has to let The Darkness back out to get more revenge. Even if it means getting consumed by it.
The Darkness II takes the action and intensity of the first game and ratchets it up to 11. Now, you'll able to wield four arms of The Darkness, and do with them as you will. Devour enemies, grab them and throw them away, it's up to you.
Or, if you want to spread the love of Darkness around, you can engage in 4-player co-op action. Each will be a unique character who wields special powers from The Darkness itself. Just remember, The Darkness can only be used in shadows, so kill the lights...and go have some fun.
