Players will get to train and personalize their very own Bomber Crew. Each time you play a new game you're going to get new names, backstories, and skills, as they are procedurally generated. Just remember, you need to make sure all of your crew members are prepared for their tasks, as death is permanent.
The game puts a large emphasis on the flight and how immersive it is. There are many things that you need to consider and manage on your plane, from checking the fuel, hydraulics, and even ammo on your Bomber. You can also use all kinds of liveries and even nose art to customize your plane in whatever way you want. There's also an in-game tool which allows you to design your own Bomber.
The most important thing is preparation. If you see an enemy fighter make sure you tag him before he reaches you. Most importantly, make sure that you assembled the right team for the job that you're doing.
