Another Overwatch Racism Incident

Overwatch players really like to get themselves involved with racist incidents, as they just can’t seem to control themselves when they live stream. This time the man that did something that he surely regretted quite quickly is Josh “Eqo” Corona of the Philadelphia Fusion. Casual racism shouldn’t appear anywhere near gaming, as there are a lot of younger kids that watch all these streamers, so they should, in turn, make sure that their stream is as kid-friendly as possible.

Being a racist is a terrible thing, doing something or saying something racist on, let’s say, a stream, you will find yourself under a lot of fire very quickly, as racism is a very sensitive thing these days, and people aren’t really too fond of it. Ego then published an official “I’m sorry” tweet, which was definitely a right move, so let’s see a piece from this tweet for ourselves:

“Obviously l apologize to anyone that got offended this clip got is out of context a bit since I was complimenting the Koreans before the clip and after the clip and did the gesture more in a form of wanting to express myself being like them since I admire them not making fun.”

But, what exactly did Ego do? Well, he used his fingers and then pulled back the corners of his eyes, which was a childlike level of racism, unbelievably stupid and insensitive. We still don’t have any information about what his punishment is in the end, but let’s hope that Overwatch players and streamers both learn to avoid racism as much as possible.
