Assassin’s Creed Origins: Curse Of The Pharaohs Launch Trailer

Ubisoft has a reputation for milking their franchises until they have nothing left to offer, and for a while, that seemed to be the case with the Assassin’s Creed franchise. For while the original trilogy was deep fresh gameplay and an intriguing story, it soon became clear that they were more worried about getting a new game out every year rather than getting quality titles released. Thankfully, they realized this themselves and buckled down on their next iteration, which became Assassin’s Creed Origins.

And this gambit paid off, for the game was a huge hit with both players and critics, and the franchise has basically been reborn. But, that doesn’t mean you should solely focus on what’s coming up next in the main games, instead, you should focus on the next DLC for the game. Assassin’s Creed Origins has already had some big ones, includes new places to explore, a Roman Empire to fight and more. But soon, very soon even, you’ll be facing the undead. For “Curse Of The Pharaohs” releases tomorrow, and the launch trailer for it is here!

Assassin's Creed Origins

As you can see, things are about to get very paranormal. For in “Curse Of The Pharaohs”, Bayek travels to Thebes to investigate a mystery, and soon finds himself fighting Egypt’s history! Here’s the official synopsis:

“Bayek travels to Thebes to investigate an ancient curse that’s plaguing the region. The Curse of the Pharaohs focuses on Egyptian mythology, pitting players against famous pharaohs and Egyptian monsters.”

The DLC itself actually takes place four years after the events of the main game, which is an interesting storytelling device to be honest. But, the content itself also ties into what Assassin’s Creed Origins has been doing in regards to its use of mythology. For also in the game, you can battle the literal Egyptian gods.

Curse of the Pharaohs arrives on March 13th.
