Yesterday was the 1st of April, which is also known as April Fool’s Day, the day where all of us compete to see who can pull the most insane gag possible. Video game developers have also started to incorporate this day as a way to promote funny events, hilarious pranks, and more. Today we will be taking a look at several jokes that we found quite hilarious.
Blizzard really came through this year with the pranks as they announced a load of events for World of Warcraft, such as the YES-FLY ZONE, which allows you to only fly using flying abilities or flying mounts, and players that have no flying mount will just float above the ground. They also announced that they are translating Hearthstone and adding the Nerglish language so that Murlocs can also enjoy the game in their own language.
Warhorse Studios, the people behind the recently released Kingdom Come: Deliverance, announced that their game will be getting Lootboxes & Horse Skins. After all the controversy concerning loot boxes, this was a really funny gag, and the addition of Horse Skins can be seen as a nod to the Horse Armor Pack from Oblivion.
Lastly, we have the first DLC for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 called Mute Kerillian DLC, which will silence the pesky wood elf so you don’t have to hear his annoying lines. Since a lot of players seem to really hate Kerillian’s small talk, a lot of people would actually buy this DLC if it were real.
