Call Of Duty: WWII Now Has Service To Hire Professional Gamers

It’s a well-known fact that video gamers are only as good as their skills. For example, you can be great at RPGs, but when you get your hands on a shooter, maybe not so much. Thus, players always look for ways to improve themselves, or their game characters. Sometimes it’s through cheat codes (legal ones), sometimes it’s through guides and tip sheets. But, there is also the option of having someone else play the game for you. Which is a service that Call of Duty: WWII now has.

Now, this isn’t a service provided by Sledgehammer Games or Activision, rather it’s by a UK company called Bidvine. As PC Gamer Insider reports, this service will allow players who either don’t have the time to rank up their players, or aren’t doing it at a fast enough rate to hire a professional gamer to do it for them. All for 15 Euros an hour.

Now, we know what you’re thinking, “This is a scam!”, well, it’s actually not. And, in fact, there are certain requirements that these “professional gamers” have to meet and prove before you hire them. For example, they must prove that they are worthy of your time and money. If they don’t meet your requirements, you don’t have to hire them.

“The Call of Duty game franchise is one of the biggest in the world, and every time they release a new game it’s a race to unlock the best weapons, characters and camos – as well as seeing who can prestige first,” said Russ Morgan, Bidvine co-founder.

You have to admit, this is a clever twist on “Pay-2-Win”, because it does fully embrace the model, yet is a perfect example of it being a “choice” that players willingly make before accepting the services.

According to Morgan, there’s been a good demand for the service, and it’s all because players want to make sure their characters are ready for online combat. Could this be the beginning of something special? Or is Call of Duty: WWII an outlier of this model? We’ll have to wait and see.
