Seems like Capcom has a brand new title in the works since they plan to invite Resident Evil Ambassadors to test it and share their thoughts on it.

I gotta admit. Capcom is really doing some amazing things with the RE franchise. RE 7, Re 2 Remake, and the upcoming RE 3 Remake. All games that have amassed a lot of hype and brought the franchise back into the spotlight. So, what’s the next step? We know that we’re getting the Resident Evil 3 Remake, which will show our favorite baddie, Nemesis, in a new light. But will they make a Resident Evil 8? Maybe, some things certainly allude to that. You see, Capcom recently notified their Resident Evil Ambassadors that a new unannounced project is ready to be tested. The ones that achieve the highest Ambassador rank will get picked to give this title a test-drive.

No information was provided that described the project in any way, which is to be expected. Most Reddit users think that it’s Resident Evil 8. It’s either that or a brand new spin-off. I don’t think they’re going to keep releasing remakes. This franchise needs new entries, new stories, new experiences that will terrify us to the bone.
