Certain Artifact Cards Are Really Expensive

The player market in Artifact was a smart idea because one card right now costs more than the game itself.

Oh, you thought that Hearthstone was rough for players that didn’t want to spend money on it? Oh boy, have you given Artifact a try? It is Valve’s TCG that appeared recently and attracted quite a fair number of eyes. Not in a very good way exactly, as we have covered a while ago. But, when you give the option of the free market to your players, then you shouldn’t be surprised when some excellent cards start fetching quite a high price.

So, which card is the subject of all the talk on the Artifact subreddits? Is it the Blink Dagger card? That one seems to be quite overpowered and required for many decks. Some would even say that you can’t create a strong deck without the Blink Dagger. Surprisingly, that card isn’t the one that’s causing all this ruckus. It is actually Axe. That’s right, all Red decks are using this card, and we do mean all. You can see here that Artifact players are selling Axe for $21, which is quite an amount for one card.

Will Valve nerf Axe? We don’t know, and most probably not since no one from Valve ever commented on this card. But, players should take advantage of this situation and buy lots of packs which are really cheap at the market currently.
