Destiny 2 Beta Pre-Load Available Today on Consoles

Activision has confirmed today that players can pre-load the beta for Destiny 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The beta itself begins next week on July 18th for PS4 players, and hitting the Xbox One the following day. PS4 players will be able to begin playing at 10am PDT, with Xbox One players being able to participate at the same time the day after. Keep in mind that these times and dates are only available to those who have pre-ordered the game, with the beta opening up to all PS4 and Xbox One owners on Friday, July 21st. The beta concludes 35 hours later on Sunday, July 23rd at 9pm PDT. There will also be a beta for the PC version of Destiny 2, though the date is yet to be confirmed by Activision.

As for what you’ll get to play during the beta, players will be able to experience what Bungie showed off at E3 2017, including the opening campaign mission “Homecoming”, as well as two Crucible gametypes entitled Countdown and Control, plus a strike known as The Inverted Spire. Players can choose from one subclass from the new playable classes, which include the Arcstrider Hunter, Sentinel Titan and Dawnblade Warlock.

Destiny 2 releases on PS4 and Xbox One on September 6th, followed by a PC release on October 24th.
