Destiny 2 Trials of the Nine Postponed

Bungie has revealed that Destiny 2’s Trials of the Nine will be delayed for a fortnight following a glitch with the game’s emotes.

The competitive multiplayer mode will be put back for two weeks after it was discovered that certain emotes were allowing players to hide in out of bounds locations. One in particular was the bureaucratic walk emote, which saw players using it in order to clip out of bounds. If you have bought the emote previous to this, then you will still be able to use it. Meanwhile, the Trials of the Nine will be postponed until the bug is completely fixed.

The Trials of the Nine has been subject to changes previously, once again due to out of bounds glitches. For example, back in September we saw the playlist changed from kill-focused survival matches over on the Alter of Flame map back to Eternity for the Countdown mode. This was because players on Altar of Flame were able to garner kills prior to winning a match, whilst hiding out of bounds, obviously therefore creating an unfair advantage.

Destiny 2 is now available on PS4 and Xbox One. The highly anticipated sequel will arrive on the PC platform next week on October 24th.
