There’s a Diablo 4 closed endgame beta on the way where players get to test all the endgame systems Blizzard prepared for their newest action RPG.
Endgames keep games like Diablo 3 alive. While Blizzard had some troubles with Diablo 3 and its endgame at the beginning, they quickly patched things up. Their focus on Diablo 4’s endgame will soon be shown as the devs plan to let their players test out some of the game’s content in an upcoming beta.
A limited number of Diablo fans can experience this endgame beta test. It’s closed and confidential, so anyone that participates won’t be able to share or talk about their experiences. Players need to have the “News and Special Offers” box ticked on Battle.net for a chance to enter this closed beta. Blizzard’s inviting Diablo veterans, those that spent a lot of time playing Diablo 2: Resurrected and Diablo 3.
This Diablo 4 endgame beta offers 4 types of endgame content:
- Helltide – A region-wide event where players take on servants of Lillith. These monsters are stronger, but the loot they drop is better as well. Foes drop Cinders, a new currency used for Helltide Chests. These contain especially potent weapons and armor.
- Nightmare Dungeons – Unlocked when players find their first Nightmare Sigil. These sigils add unique modifiers to dungeons. Completing these dungeons gives players access to high-quality loot and even more powerful sigils.
- Whispers of the Dead – “Whispers” are rotating tasks that give experience, gold, and Grim Favors to players. 10 Grim Favors can be exchanged at the Tree of Whispers for even more loot and experience.
- Fields of Hatred – PvP zones where players kill demons to acquire Seeds of Hatred. Use them at the Altar of Extraction to obtain Red Dust. Red Dust is used at the PvP Cosmetic and Mount Vendors. Anyone that’s killed drops their Seeds of Hatred.
