Dragon Ball FighterZ Getting Base Form Goku and Vegeta

Dragon Ball FighterZ is easily one of the most successful games of the year. The title soared to popularity from the moment it was announced at E3 2017, and the hype didn’t die down as more characters were revealed. At launch, the game sold millions, and has continued to do well via DLC additions and other patches and tweaks. The game will even be at EVO 2018! But as for the next DLC that is set to come to the game, it appears that a couple classic versions of classic characters will arrive.

Sources say that Base Form Goku and Vegeta will be put into the game. This means that technically, there will be 3-4 different versions of Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball FighterZ. There’s the Super Saiyan forms, the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan forms, Vegito (which is their fusion form), and Goku Black.

Though to be clear, like all those characters, these forms will have entirely different move sets.

For example, Base Form Goku will be able to use his Kaio-ken ability, as well as the Spirit Bomb. Then, Vegeta will be able to use his Galaxy Breaker and Galick Gun attack. So yeah, they will be very different. However, some fans aren’t happy about these two having another form in the game when there are plenty of other characters from the Dragon Ball universe to bring in. Including some that have been rumored to be DLC for some time.

On another note, the same sources that revealed the characters also revealed that in August there will be a Switch demo for the game. Dragon Ball FighterZ was announced for Nintendo Switch at E3 2018, and it’s confirmed to be coming out in September. No doubt the Bandai Namco team want to test things out before launching the game in full.
