Strange times we live in, where fans are starved of any information regarding upcoming games from their favorite developers. But, that’s how it is with studios such as FromSoftware. Masters of their craft, quite meticulous and unorthodox when it comes to creating their masterpieces. Recently they expressed their thanks to Sekiro fans for supporting the game all this time. However, then they did something no one expected, they mentioned Elden Ring. Another tweet reignited the entirety of the Elden Ring Reddit with hope and passion. Even though practically nothing of importance was said, amidst all the silence and mystery that surrounds this project even something insignificant as that was enough.

Why is this such a big deal? Because this game amassed a lot of interest around it. There’s a lot of hype surrounding Elden Ring because it’s being made by FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin. Miyazaki and Martin, two pioneers of dark, grim fantasy are working together. On a title that promises to be FromSoftware’s biggest game yet. Of course the fans there’s so much hype and intrigue surrounding this game.

Sekiro stepped away from the usual Dark Souls formula. Some appreciated the new approach to progression, others didn’t. What approach is Elden Ring taking?
