Epic Games Changes Thanos Again In Fortnite

So, last week Epic Games dropped a major bombshell when they revealed that Thanos, the legendary Marvel Comics villain, would be coming to their title Fortnite for a limited time mode. This was because the villain made his grand arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe via the film Avengers: Infinity War, and the directors thought it would be cool to bring him into the game, so they contacted Epic. Turns out, they were all for it! So, they brought him and his Infinity Gauntlet in game. But…they didn’t stay as they were for long.

A day after Thanos was put into Fortnite, Epic Games nerfed him based on player feedback. And now, they’ve buffed him right back up again. Actually, he’s a bit stronger than he was originally in some ways! Epic Games noted this on a Reddit forum, noting:

We’ve just pushed additional adjustments to Thanos and the Limited Time Mashup. Our goal is to allow more folks to truly experience the power of Thanos, while also making you feel powerful when wielding the gauntlet.

That’s the ironic thing here, they’re saying that they want people to feel the power of being Thanos, yet they nerfed him to weaken him before. It’s…kind of contradictory. But hey, at least he’s powerful again. Though to be clear, not everything got buffed, some things did get nerfed again.

Also important to note is that the Infinity Gauntlet is going to take a bit more time to spawn now. So be ready for that.

Regardless though, this has been a very fun mode for players to have fun in, and many are wondering if we could get even more modes like this in the future. Some fans are hoping Star Wars comes into Fortnite next, and there are certainly many other crossover possibilities.
