Following the announcement of The Evil Within 2 at E3 earlier this year, we have been treated to a number of trailers, courtesy of Bethesda. In the latest trailer, we are introduced to Father Theodore, and according to the game’s publisher, Theodore may just be the most mysterious character in the entire game.

Father Theodore believes that the goals of Mobius with STEM are somewhat misguided, as they are looking to use a device which would control the populace, though Theodore believes that he would be far more suited for this kind of task than STEM could wish to be. Seeing STEM as a foundation to push his own agenda, Theodore aims to circumvent Mobius from within their own device, adding to the untold horror that this game looks to present.
One thing is for sure when it comes to this sequel, and that is that we will be offered up a far more expansive experience than the previous outing, which although was a fantastic game, was somewhat of a very linear direction.
The Evil Within 2 is currently set for release on October 13th, and will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
