Fall Guys isn’t as popular as it was a couple of months ago but the game still sold over 10 million copies in just eight months.
Fall Guys, the silly battle royale party game that’s a load to fun with your friends. Fun mini-games and its wonky physics system make the gameplay both skillful and chaotic as hell. But, it does have a lot of issues. Servers are a mess, hackers are still a problem, people that aren’t hackers still get banned for hacking, and a lot of bugs need to be addressed. Even with all of this, I wasn’t surprised that much when I read that Fall Guys managed to sell over 10 million copies in a PC Gamer article. After all, absolutely everyone went to play this title once they saw their favorite youtube/twitch streamer playing it for days on end.
Obviously, it isn’t as popular as it once was. With Among Us, and the latest gaming sensation Phasmophobia, coming onto the scene, Fall Guys and its playerbase took a hit. An all-time peak about 3 months ago was 172,213. The 24-hour peak right now is 16,004 according to SteamDB. Yet, this is by no means a sign of a decaying game. Fall Guys is the kind of title that everyone plays every now and then with friends. Or when you’re drunk and want to mess around. Gamers will play it for a long time, and it’s updated regularly. Will it be as popular as it was a couple of months ago? Probably not, but it’s still selling like crazy.
