For Honor Introduces Dedicated Servers to Consoles

Last month, For Honor rolled out dedicated servers on PC, and has today introduced the same infrastructure on the console versions of the game.

This introduction will bring a vastly improved matchmaking service, as well as offer a much more stable online experience with a smoother transition for all the PvP modes in the title. According to a recent press release, the changes that have been made include:

  • Resyncs and host migrations during games have been entirely eliminated
  • Match completion rates on PvP modes have improved overall
  • Major fixes have already been implemented on the PC side following the launch to improve the experience on servers. Console players will benefit from these improvements from day one

The introduction of dedicated servers comes as part of the fifth season of For Honor known as Age of Wolves. This season brings more of a focus on the core player experience, which also sees the implementation of new hero and fight updates, as well as a three-week special event and training modes also to follow as the season progresses.

For Honor, the game developed by Ubisoft Montreal surrounding engaging combat and thrilling multiplayer modes, is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
