Friday The 13th: The Game Gets Single Player Video Trailer

You might think that pure horror titles don’t work in the video game world. But recent games like Dead By Daylight have proven that theory wrong. To that end, the team at Gun Media decided to make a title that would mimic one of the most legendary horror franchises ever. They made Friday The 13th: The Game. A 1-v-4 experience where players would get to play as Jason Voorhees as he hunted down his various prey. The game started out pretty buggy at first, but it soon grew into a very deep title.

The team have added new versions of Jason from the various movies in his franchise. There have been new camp counselors to face, new places to do battles in, and even an interactive adventure. But it’s all been leading up to this, a singleplayer experience. And now, the Gun Media team have released the first look at these “Singeplayer Challenges” via a trailer. Check it out.

Friday The 13th: The Game

As you can see, this perfectly recreates some of the moments from the films without the need for other players. This has been a fan request for some time, and so to see it truly fulfilled is something that brings a smile (as well as a chill) down our spines.

In truth, this really does add another layer to the game. For now there’s singleplayer, multiplayer, an interactive experience, it’s a much fuller game. Originally, all there was in Friday The 13th: The Game was the 1-v-4 mode. One person would play as Jason, who was tasked with hunting down the other four players. The other players would either have to team up to fight Jason, or try and escape the “kill zone”. Each of the five characters had their own abilities and skills, and they have to use them wisely to get their side of the job done.

The best part about the singleplayer mode though is that it’s free to anyone who has the game or gets the game.
