The Rise of the Mechs update is bringing a new neutral Legendary Minion to Hearthstone, card buffs for all the classes, new Arena sets, and so on.
Blizzard has changed up the way they balance Hearthstone. In a good way or in a bad one, that is one thing we still have to figure out. But, the most important thing is that the Rise of the Mechs update is here. It came with a new Neutral Legendary minion. Log into the game before July 1st to get a golden copy of it!
The other interesting part of this update revolves around a lot of card buffs. Blizzard decided to buff a whole array of cards. Gloopsprayer, Mulchmuncher, Necromechanic, Flark’s Boom-Zooka, Unexpected Results, Luna’s Pocket Galaxy, Crystology, Glowstone Technician, Extra Arms, Cloning Device, Pogo-Hopper, Violet Haze, The Storm Bringer, Thunderhead (now a 4/6), Spirit Bomb, Dr. Morrigan, Security Rover (now a 2/6), Beryllium Nullifier (now a 4/8) and lastly, Reckless Experimenter got his mechanics changed before of the new Legendary minion.
While most of these cards are still trash tier, the Crystology, Extra Arms, and Thunderhead buffs could make some decks skyrocket in terms of power. But, we have to wait and see how much these changes are going to shape the meta. Rise of the Mechs update also brings a lot of quality-of-life improvements. Reconnecting improvements, being able to access your collection offline, and matchmaking tweaks.
Now, the thing we’re most excited about, new Arena rotations. This time we will be picking cards from these sets: Classic, Basic, Goblins vs. Gnomes, The Grand Tournament, One Night in Karazhan, The Boomsday Project, Rise of Shadows. Arena is still the most enjoyable part of Hearthstone for us, that’s why we’re always looking forward to new set rotations.
What do you think, how will the Rise of the Mechs update affect the game’s current meta?
