How Battlefield V Balances The War of Attrition

The last Battlefield V beta was quite successful, and the devs got a lot of information from it. Now, they addressed certain things that they’re working on.

Those of you that played the Battlefield V Open Beta learned that you have limited ammo and health in this game. That’s because DICE wants to focus a lot more on gameplay tempo and how it affects the match. They want to remove the spawn-sprint-die pattern that is common in most Battlefield games. Players should approach situations carefully and tactically if they want to stay alive.

But, everything was not perfect in the open beta. DICE took a look at some community-created polls after the beta and saw what the players wanted to be fixed. The attrition in itself is a rather interesting gimmick that should work wonders for this shooter. But it needs to get adjusted a little bit. In their blog, DICE said that players would spawn more capable in the final game. Players will have more ammo for some weapons, and they are even considering giving the players a Health Pouch when they respawn which can be used once.

Lastly, certain Supply Stations will get removed. Not removed in a sense that they are going to disappear off the map. No, they just won’t be pre-built anymore. Now players will need to construct them if they need them.
