Is Just Cause 4 Too Broken To Be Fixed?

Just Cause 4 was hyped up quite a lot with its crazy trailers, but in the end, it fell flat because of various problems which include crashing.

Just Cause 4

Everyone should expect something bad when a game gets 50 trailers which promote all the new “exciting” features. Just Cause 4 had a lot of things going for it. Terrific gunplay, incredibly spectacular hazardous disasters like the tornadoes (which do feel powerful and scary), and a populated world to destroy. But, leaving aside the major flaws with the gameplay (it’s stale and there’s nothing to do in the game), you can find so many problems with the performance and bugs. Does a triple-A game get a pass when it gets released in a state like this?
Just Cause 4Maybe there’s some sandbox open world game under all these problems that could have been something awesome. The problem is that big developers these days find it acceptable to release their games in half-broken states. You can’t do that, as players don’t tolerate these things anymore. Imagine paying $60 for a game that crashes every couple of minutes. Avalanche Studios and Square Enix have released a patch that addresses certain problems. Many stability problems and texture mapping issues have been fixed. Vegetation rendering and asset updates have also been improved. You can read the full patch notes here.

So, what do you think, is Just Cause 4 too broken to be fixed? Well, it isn’t, but the state in which the game was released will probably deter most people from buying it. The user reviews on Steam are also mostly negative, and for a proper reason as well.
