Metro Exodus to Drop The Bullet Economy

The majority of the news that we have received for Meto Exodus so far tends to revolve all around trailers, though certain details are slowly creeping through as the weeks go by. One feature that has been confirmed, or should we say lack of, is the bullet economy that has featured in past titles. Exodus will be getting rid of said feature, so players will no longer be trading ammo for goods and weapon upgrades.

Instead, players will now have to scavenge junk to be turned into chemicals and materials, which will in turn allow them to craft gear. Weapons will need to be maintained, and there will be the ability to chop and change attachments between weapons that are compatible with them.

We now know that the game will be set in a more open environment, though it isn’t strictly an open world experience. There is also support for vehicles it seems, though we are yet to see this in the flesh, with the exception of boating. There has also been an expansion made on stealth and combat options, giving you the option to take down enemies in a non-lethal manner, which will benefit you with certain factions throughout your journey.

Metro Exodus is set for release later this year on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
