Monster Hunter: World Might Support Mods

One of the advantages of PC versions of games is the support of mods created by players. However, more and more often developers refuse to support modifications, especially in multiplayer games. Therefore, Capcom’s possible decision to add to Monster Hunter: World support for Steam Workshop was quite unexpected.

Monster Hunter: World

“Welcome to a new world! In Monster Hunter: World, the latest installment in the series, you can enjoy the ultimate hunting experience, using everything at your disposal to hunt monsters in a new world teeming with surprises and excitement.”

Destructoid has managed to spot that the publisher has added the Workshop interface to the game’s page on Steam. In this case, for some reason, the Workshop icon can be seen only by players who already own a copy of the game. This is not surprising, because the release of Monster Hunter World will take place only tomorrow, on August 9. The current Workshop page is evidently empty.

Of course, all this can very well be just a mistake from someone at Capcom, but the support for modifications may give modders tons of ideas for interesting content and gameplay improvements.
