In a sea of updates and brand new additions, we are happy to see that Mounted Turrets are coming to Fortnite.
Epic Games sure are full of content updates, have you noticed? Every now and then they bring some new weapon and/or gadget to the game. The pace of these updates is much quicker than in most other games. Perhaps that’s what keeps Fortnite so fresh and, well, somewhat interesting. We have moved on to Black Ops 4 and its Blackout mode. We never really dug the building system in Fortnite, even though we do understand what kind of complexity it brings to it.
Now, let’s talk about this very exciting new item, the Mounted Turret. From what we gathered on this Reddit thread, you will be able to place this down and then hop into it to lay some suppressive fire. But, you don’t want to fire too much, as it seems like the Mounted Turret can get overheated from extended use. This addition seems like it would fit into the game quite nicely. On the other hand, sitting in a Mounted Turret does mean that you’re pretty open to snipers.
We don’t know exactly when the Mounted Turret is coming, but since most new weapons and gadgets that get announced come out pretty soon, we’re guessing you’ll be able to mount this turret in the next few days.
