Have you watched The Witcher on Netflix yet? It’s quite a treat. Not the best show, as it does have many flaws, but it is an enjoyable watch. The whole thing feels mostly like an epic set-up for season 2, but that makes the anticipation for the following season even greater. Anyhow, seems like the fans of the Witcher games loved the show. Or something like that, because ever since the Netflix Witcher came out the number of players that booted up The Witcher 3 once again got greatly increased. Even the first and second games got a surge in active players according to PCGamesN.

Guess seeing their favorite characters in this fantastical and compelling world woke up their desire to go experience all of that themselves. After all, seeing Henry Cavill slice up people and monsters was quite a visual treat. The fight choreography was amazing for the most part. However, some of the monster fights weren’t as spectacular as they could have been. So, gamers decided to go hunt down some terrifying monsters with their own hands. Why watch someone else do the things you could be doing yourself?
