Nintendo Switch Reached 1M Sales Faster than PS4

If someone still has doubts about the success of the Nintendo Switch, here is another piece of data, straight from Japan, which proves that the veteran manufacturer could return to its throne after a long break.

After more than 22,000 copies of the Nintendo Switch were sold in Japan last week, according to the official data of Media Create, the overall Switch sales exceeded 1 million copies in that region, which means that the console took about  17 weeks to reach this record. This already hints that the Nintendo Switch is to be taken seriously. Even the PS4 was not able to achieve this, as Sony’s console needed 46 weeks to get 1 million sales in Japan.
