Postal 2 at its core is a semi-sandbox first-person shooter. But it also has a lot of dark, cynical, and offensive layers on top of it. Still, it’s one of the funniest experiences ever. You just need to understand that this is a video game. Nothing in it is real, all of it is intended to be morbid and sarcastic. It’s quite an edgy game, and definitely not one for people that get easily offended. However, if you can enter the brutal world of Postal 2 just to cause as much mayhem and carnage in the most inhumane ways possible and understand that this is just a video game, you’re going to have a blast.
Postal 2 is free on GOG right now, so if you like what you heard, pick it up. The devs put a whole lot of incredibly funny jokes which were only possible back in 2003. Some of them would upset a lot of people today. Since video games can’t make fun of something in modern times. That’s offensive you know, and it might hurt someone’s feelings. That’s a no-no in the gaming industry today. Anyone that wants to try a shooter where you can put a cat on a shotgun to use as a silencer, look no further. Postal 2 is the insane experience that lets you do just that.
