Original C&C Devs Are Working On The Remastered Collection

We think that everyone was excited when they heard that the C&C games would get remastered, and now it seems like the people behind the original titles will help EA with the remastered versions.

Game: Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3

The Command & Conquer games were the very first pioneers of the RTS genre. For many, these games are the RTS originators that started the fascination with this particular genre of strategy. The latest quality title that we have from this franchise is Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, and that is 10 years old. But, EA came out with the message that it’s going to remaster Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert, as well as any expansions for these games.

The surprising part was when we read that EA is partnering up with the people behind the original to make these remasters. Did anyone expect this to happen? Absolutely not. EA isn’t the most consumer-friendly company and they don’t do good by their fans anymore. That’s why they are pretty much despised by gamers these days. But, this is definitely a good sign. We are actually still in shock that Petroglyph Games will work with them. Let’s just hope it all goes smoothly.

For those of you that are not aware, Petroglyph Games is a studio that is made out of several Westwood employees. Westwood is the original studio that brought many cult classics to the world of gaming, the Command & Conquer series being one of them. It seems they even got Frank Klepacki, the composer for the original C&C games, to be the composer and audio director for the remastered C&C collection.
