Larian Studios and their free gifts

If you want to see how a solo DND experience feels like in a video game, Original Sin 2 is the title for you. An absolutely incredible world and worldbuilding. Insanely complex and fun characters and interactions that occur between them. A thoroughly enjoyable and sprawling story. Add to that outstanding gameplay mechanics that let you tackle situations in all kinds of different and unique ways and you get one of my favorite RPGs ever.

Larian Studios, being the incredible developers that they are, have some free gifts for us. These come in the form of Gift Bags. Two of these came before have already been released before. They introduce new gameplay options that you can enable if you wish to do so. The third bag comes with new features such as Pet Power, Combat Randomizer, Nine Lives (also known as Black Cat+), Improved Organisation, Sourcerous Sundries, and Hagglers.

Must-have new features

Let’s start with Pet Power. This feature buffs the summon class and its infusion spells. It lets players cast their infusion spells on all of the available summons. This is a much-needed improvement to the summoning class, which is pretty lackluster in the late game.  Next up is Combat Randomizer. This feature adds a new special status to one or more enemies. The main purpose of this feature is to make each combat situation unique and challenging. The most important feature is Nine Lives. Finally, the Black Cat can become a follower. We even get a whistle that lets us call our cute feline friend if it gets lost. Totally a thing that should have been a feature right from the start.

Optional new features

Improved Organisation adds special bags that let players automatically organize their inventory. It seems like a terrific idea on paper, but players on their official post said that this feature has been causing some problems. Sourcerous Sundries introduces an obscure vendor in each major hub. These guys sell strange artifacts that can upgrade a piece of gear and imbue it with legendary power. Lastly, there’s a quality of life feature called Hagglers. No more switching to our bartering characters when we’re trading. Now the skill and reputation of your whole gang help you get those insanely low prices!

Anyone that’s reading this that has not played this brilliant gem of the game needs to correct that. Buy yourself a Divinity: Original Sin 2 PC game key on HRK Game right now. The price is terrific, and the title itself is even better. Do not deny yourself this kind of incredible RPG experience!
