Overwatch Charity Raises Almost 13 Million Dollars

Say what you want about gamers, but we all like to contribute when we can. An example of this is charity events where you get to buy something you like in-game and the money goes to charity. Everyone needs to support charity no matter what kind of person they are, and Overwatch players showed their caring side when the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Pink Mercy skin came up. See, the concept was very simple, all you had to do in order to participate was to buy the Pink Mercy skin, as all the money from that went to the BCRF charity, and a tweet from Blizzard let us know that we managed to raise 12.7 million dollars.

Overwatch

Yap, that is almost 13 million dollars that the Overwatch community raised for a good cause. Who can say bad things about gamers now? When it counts, we always pull through, and we confirmed it this time. Imagine just how many players bought the Pink Mercy skin when we managed to raise almost 13 million dollars. A lot of people, and we are happy that we rallied to a cause as noble as this, and managed to maybe improve the chances of saving some lives.

The Overwatch community isn’t half as bad as people make it out to be, and they have proved that with this.
