Overwatch Now Allows You To Swap Skins Between Matches

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make a game special. The little details that show that the developer cares about all aspects of the title and not just the major things like story and gameplay. For Overwatch, this has been something that developer Blizzard wants players to feel. They want you to know that they’re hearing your feedback and thoughts and are incorporating them into the game. So, with the arrival of The Year Of The Dog content comes a new twist on skins.

As revealed on the official Overwatch Twitter feed, you can now swap skins between matches. Pretty cool, huh? Yes, this may be a “minor feature”, but if you think about it, it’s a really cool one. The game has a lot of skins for its 27 characters, with some having a large assortment, so why not show them off more often. Plus, before, you would have had to quit a game, go back to the Main Menu, then swap out your skin. Here, you don’t have to leave the group you’re in.

So, if you see that you’re in a team that’s going for a specific style, but you don’t match up, just wait for the round to end and pick a skin that better suits the situation! Or, if you just want to see your character in a different skin every match, you have that option too!

This is but one change that Overwatch did or added via the Year of the Dog content. There are brand new skins to celebrate the new Chinese New Year, there is also a new map in Ayutthaya, a new game mode for you to try out, and other neat surprises.

So don’t miss out on this all-new content, and the skins swap feature, you might be surprised by how much you enjoy it.
