Overwatch Patch Brings Several Bug Fixes

Overwatch community manager Josh Engen has posted patch notes on the official forums, detailing a new update which is now live on Windows PC. The changes listed are apparently set to release on consoles soon, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions getting a much bigger patch at a later date.

The patch brings about a number of changes, predominantly bug fixes for the popular Blizzard shooter. A general change sees Mercy’s Resurrect contribution toward her on-fire meter being altered to cater for the functionality tweaks that have been made to the support hero recently.

As for the bug fixes, one has been implemented to an issue that caused the audio from Junkertown’s front gate to play whilst players are previewing and opening their loot boxes. There was also bugs that stopped the stagger and knockdown VO from canceling active voice lines, as well as one that let an incorrect voice line play whilst D.Va fires Micro Missiles, both of which have been seen to.

There has also been problems that saw the spectator camera losing track of heroes and player-controlled objects such as Junkrat’s Rip-Tire, plus sound effects continuously repeating whilst using a beam weapon to destroy the motorcycle in Junkertown’s spawn room. Audio does seem to have been a primary issue if these patch notes are anything to go by, with another sound issue seeing audio cues being activated whilst shooting the motorcycle sounding like enemy hits.

On the hero front, there was just a couple of changes for Genji and Mercy, in which their ultimate voice lines were prevented from functioning correctly whilst the Oni or Winged Victory skins were equipped.
