Mortal Kombat will be celebrating its 25th anniversary on October 8th, and Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have released the Thunder God Raiden for Injustice 2. Players who have purchased the Ultimate Edition, the Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack or Fighter Pack #2 will be able to play as the protector of Earthrealm, or using the new Premiere Skin that comes with the Raiden DLC, Black Lightning.

If you’d like to purchase Raiden as a piece of standalone DLC, then you will be able to do so on October 6th. Raiden is joining up with a number of other characters who have been added to the roster since the game launched earlier this year. In fact, Raiden is the second Mortal Kombat character to be added to the game, following the release of Sub-Zero not so long ago. His huge personality and presence is bound to make him a popular character among players, especially those who have experienced Mortal Kombat before.
Injustice 2 is now available on PS4 and Xbox One, along with other DLC characters such as Red Hood, Starfire, Black Manta and the previously mentioned Sub-Zero.
