Who would have thought? After all those rumors and leaks that were spreading around for months, Capcom went and announced the Resident Evil 3 Remake. I mean, we all knew it was coming, it was just a question of when. Since the Resident Evil 2 Remake got a huge amount of praise for being a reimagining of the original game, capturing the horror/survival element exceptionally well and just putting it in a box with modern graphics and smoother controls. Naturally, they’ve gone and did that with Resident Evil 3. The announcement trailer is almost like a trailer for a thriller movie in the first half. Jill is running away from an enemy in an abandoned building, frantically breathing and sprinting, trying to escape only for Mr. X to drop down the ceiling right in front of her.

The rest of the trailer then sets up the story that follows the events of the previous game. The city is full of infected people, things aren’t looking so great, and the nail to the coffin for our heroes is shown at the end of the trailer. We get a small glimpse of Nemesis. A superhuman infected with the virus and strapped with a bunch of weapons. He even has a nose now that makes him somehow more terrifying. Resident Evil Resistance, the asymmetric 4v1 co-op title will also be included with this game. You can expect these games to arrive on April 3rd, 2020
