Resident Evil Village is the talk of the block right now. But, just how popular is it exactly? If everyone is playing the game, the numbers must be pretty high, right? Well, if you head over to SteamDB you can see that it’s not all just talk. Resident Evil Village has the most popular launch out of all the Resident Evil games.

Is it all thanks to the tall vampire lady? While Lady Dimitrescu certainly hyped the game a lot, it wasn’t just that. A survival horror game with vampires, werewolves, and other gothic creatures? It’s a combination that’s not seen often. The closes thing to it just in terms of atmosphere and theme is Bloodborne. However, that game isn’t even available on the PC.

Resident Evil Village had 106,631 concurrent players 3 days ago. In comparison, the previous biggest launch was Resident Evil 2 Remake with a peak of 74,227 concurrent players. Yet, that’s not all, as Village has an Overwhelmingly Positive User Review score on Steam and you can understand why everyone’s talking about Capcom’s latest horror extravaganza.
