Ever since the most recent updates were implemented by Psyonix in Rocket League, players have suffered with server issues across the board, regardless of platform.
There have been many instances during games where the ping has been incredibly high, which ultimately makes for a very laggy game indeed for those involved, giving either player an upper hand over the player with the higher ping.
However, it appears as if the ping isn’t the only issue when it comes to connectivity of the popular indie smash hit soccer-car hybrid. As user breadmanran states on the official Rocket League forum’s general discussion section, you can suffer from a game riddled with lag even if you have a low ping.
The user took to the board to question why this would still be happening, despite having a low ping there is still connection issues running rampant. Whilst some suggest that it could be your ISP that causes such issues, the common consensus seems to be that there are server issues going on with the game, which seem to have hit following recent updates. Time will tell if this is a situation that Psyonix will address, or whether its simply down to the individuals connection.
